Amitabh Bachchan


Amitabh Bachchan is one of the most prominent figures of the Indian cinema. He was born on October 11, 1942 and his real name is Amitabh Harivansh Srivastav. In 1970’s, he became popular as an action hero and has till date starred in numerous film genre.Bachchan made his first debut in the year 1969 in the film 'Saat Hindustani', directed by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas. He holds the record for being nominated for most numbers of Best Actor at the Filmfare awards. In his acting career, he has been awarded with three National Film Awards and twelve Filmfare Awards. Besides, acting, he has also worked as a film producer, playback singer and hosted television shows. He was an elected member of the Indian Parliament from 1984 to 1987.

He has been recognised as one of the "Greatest Entrepreneurs of All Time" by BusinessWeek. In 2000, the Manipal Academy of Higher Education conferred him with an honorary doctorate. In the same year he was also declared the Businessman of the Year, by Business India.Premji is a member of the Prime Minister's Advisory Committee for Information Technology in India. On 18th of June, 2008 on the occasion of 58th Convocation Ceremony of the Aligarh Muslim University, he was awarded a Doctor of Letters (D.Litt.), an honorary degree.

Anil Ambani was born on June 4th, 1959 in an Indian business family. He graduated in Science from the University of Mumbai (formerly University of Bombay), and later on pursued MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Presently, he acts as a member of the Wharton Board of Overseers.Anil Ambani joined Reliance in 1983 as Co-Chief Executive Officer and is accredited with initiating several financial modernizations in the Indian capital markets. At present, he is the chairman of Reliance Capital, Reliance Infocomm and Chairman & Managing Director, Reliance Energy Limited. He had been elected as an independent member of Rajya Sabha in the 2004 with the support of Samajwadi Party, but resigned later on in the year 2006.
